Description
The DIO2186 is a bidirectional and high-precision
voltage output current sense amplifie. It can be used
as high side or low side current monitor in automotive
electronics. The DIO2186 sense drops across shunts
independent of the supply voltage. This device
supports common-mode inputs from -2 V to 40 V,
making it ideal for current sensing of inductive loads
in automotive applications. The DIO2186 boasts an
ultra-low input bias current of only 1 nA that enables
the use of larger shunt resistors, providing accurate
current measurements even in the micro-amp range.
Its high-precision performance includes a low offset
voltage and gain error less than ±1%. The DIO2186
operates from a single 2.5 V to 6.0 V power supply.
With bidirectional current sensing capability, DIO2186
offers three fixed gain options: 25 V/V, 50 V/V, 100
V/V, 200 V/V, 500 V/V. The devices are specified
over ambient temperature range from -40°C to 125°C,
which makes it a perfect solution for automotive
applications.
