9 Power Supply Recommendations
Two power supply pins and two ground pins are available to provide a path for the high currents associated with
driving the low impedance of the AC mains. TI recommends connecting the two supply pins together. Placing a
47-μF to 100-μF bypass capacitor in parallel with a 100-nF capacitor as close to the device as possible is also
recommended. Take care when routing the high-current ground lines on the PCB to avoid voltage drops in the
PCB ground that may vary with changes in load current.
