97 / 292 page  CHAPTER 10 DATA BUFFER (DBF) 78 10.2 FUNCTIONS OF THE DATA BUFFER The data buffer has two separate functions. The data buffer is used for data transfer with peripheral hardware. The data buffer is also used for reading constant data (table reference) in program memory. Figure 10-3 shows the relationship between the data buffer and peripheral hardware. Figure 10-3.
