Memory Organization
The C508 CPU manipulates operands in the following five address spaces:
• up to 64 Kbytes of program memory:
32K ROM for C508-4R
32K OTP for C508-4E
• up to 64 Kbytes of external data memory
• 256 bytes of internal data memory
• 1024 bytes of internal XRAM data memory
• a 128-byte special function register area
Figure 6 illustrates the memory address spaces of the C508.
