74 / 135 page  MB91301 Series 74 7. 16-Bit Reload Timer The 16-bit timer consists of a 16-bit down-counter, 16-bit reload register, prescaler for generating the internal count clock, and a control register. The clock source can be selected from three internal clock signals (machine clock divided by 2, 8, or 32) or the external event. The interrupt can be used to initiate DMA transfer.
