No Operation (NOP) The "No Operation" command is only able to terminate the Reset Enable (RSTEN) command and will not affect any other command. The SIO[3:1] are don't care. 9-33. Software Reset (Reset-Enable (RSTEN) and Reset (RST)) The Software Reset operation combines two instructions: Reset-Enable (RSTEN) command and Reset (RST) command. It returns the device to a standby mode. All the volatile bits and settings will be cleared then, which makes the device return to the default status as power on. To execute Reset command (RST), the Reset-Enable (RSTEN) command must be executed first to perform the Reset operation. If there is any other command to interrupt after the Reset-Enable command, the Reset-Enable will be invalid. The SIO[3:1] are "don't care". If the Reset command is executed during program or erase operation, the operation will be disabled, the data under processing could be damaged or lost. The reset time is different depending on the last operation. Longer latency time is required to recover from a program operation than from other operations. |
