INPUT SIGNAL PATH ANC CONTROL

The WM8281 incorporates a stereo Ambient Noise Cancellation (ANC) processor which can provide

noise reduction in a variety of different operating conditions.

The Left and Right ANC input sources for the Receive Path ANC function are selected using the

IN_RXANCL_SEL and IN_RXANCR_SEL registers, as described in Table 6.

See “Ambient Noise Cancellation” for further details of the ANC function.

DIGITAL MICROPHONE INTERFACE PULL-DOWN

The WM8281 provides integrated pull-down resistors on the DMICDAT1, DMICDAT2, DMICDAT3 and

DMICDAT4 pins. This provides a flexible capability for interfacing with other devices.

Each of the pull-down resistors can be configured independently using the register bits described in

Table 7. Note that, if the DMICDAT1, DMICDAT2, DMICDAT3 or DMICDAT4 digital microphone input

paths are disabled, then the pull-down will be disabled on the respective pin.
