POWER SUPPLY CONFIGURATION
The recommended decoupling and interconnection of the various power supply pins is shown in
Figure 7-6. Note that this diagram does not reflect actual pin location or order.

7.5.1
DECOUPLING RECOMMENDATIONS
To provide effective decoupling and to reduce radiated RF emissions, the small decoupling
capacitors must be located as close to the supply pins as possible. The self-inductance of these
capacitors and the parasitic inductance and capacitance of the interconnecting traces
determines the self-resonant frequency of the decoupling network. Too low a frequency will
reduce decoupling effectiveness and could increase radiated RF emissions from the system. A
low value capacitor (470 pF to 0.01 uF) placed in parallel with the other capacitors will improve
the bandwidth and effectiveness of the network.
